Pray for Canada
Pray for Canada! We have seen that this simple act is enough for Christ to transform hearts, lives and circumstances. Join us in praying for our country in the following areas:
- Our Government: Pray that God will guide our politicians and elections, and that the Spirit will be present in all local and national decisions that affect Canada.
- Our Growing Communities: There are few churches to support our rapidly growing cities. Pray for more spiritual workers to bring discipleship to Canada’s diverse urban communities.
- Our People: Canada welcomes immigrants of all backgrounds, and this gives us an unprecedented opportunity to share Jesus’ message. Pray that God will call Christians to reach out to their neighbours to share the Good News.

Prayer Request: Week of October 6, 2024
When a classroom of adults learns to read with the Bible as their textbook, their newfound confidence spills over into their families and transforms their neighbourhoods. They can’t help but share the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Please pray for adults learning to read the Bible for themselves, that the truth of God’s Word will grow in their hearts.

Prayer Request: Week of September 29, 2024
Four years ago in Ethiopia, Geda became a Christian, and for all of that time he had waited for a Bible. Then 10 boxes of Oromo Bibles were received at his church in the Oromia Region! Geda sits on a bench in the church, holding his precious new Bible in his hands. “The Bible helps me to grow spiritually,” Geda says. He explains that he cannot live without a Bible to grow his faith and share it with others. He loves hearing the Word preached by his pastor, but being able to reference the Bible and read for himself what the pastor is reading is so important. And being able to reflect on this again at home is priceless.
Please pray for others like Geda, eager to hold their own Bible in their hands.
