After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.

In case you’re arrested in Canada, you can be released with a promise to appear, an appearance notice, an undertaking given to the police, a commitment to a judge, or a document stating that you’re being released on your own recognizance. These particular documents are highly significant because they specify when and where you must attend the court of law to address your charges. Failing to appear in front of a judge on a specific date and time as per by the concerned police officer can result in a further charge.

There are many in our world that deny the resurrection of Jesus. One major world religion teaches that Jesus didn’t really die on the cross. Others teach that He did, but His body was stolen by his followers. Others teach that He came back as some spiritual specter and appeared as a ghost to others. But those closest to Him didn’t believe any of this. They had seen Him die and had put His dead body in an unused tomb. They were so convinced that Jesus had risen from the dead that they were willing to lay down their lives for it. Paul would write if the resurrection didn’t happen, our faith is in vain. Jesus knew that there would be those who didn’t believe the resurrection, so He appeared to many in the weeks between His resurrection and His ascension. In 1 Corinthians 15:6 he writes: “After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.” Jesus is alive. You can trust that…and Him.

These have been words from the heart.
