Pray for Canada! We have seen that this simple act is enough for Christ to transform hearts, lives and circumstances. Join us in praying for our country in the following areas:

Our Government: Pray that God will guide our politicians and elections, and that the Spirit will be present in all local and national decisions that affect Canada.
Our Growing Communities: There are few churches to support our rapidly growing cities. Pray for more spiritual workers to bring discipleship to Canada’s diverse urban communities.
Our People: Canada welcomes immigrants of all backgrounds, and this gives us an unprecedented opportunity to share Jesus’ message. Pray that God will call Christians to reach out to their neighbours to share the Good News.

Prayer Request: Week of September 22, 2024

No one knew Wang’s story. What they did know, and experienced, was her critical nature. She would point out flaws in everything and everyone. If someone mentioned that her words were harsh, she would become angry. As a member of a small church that meets in secret, the need for unity is vital. No one knew why Wang was so critical, but it had to stop. Her fellow church members, relying on God and His Word, chose to love her through it. They spoke to her about the positive aspects of others, read the Bible together to guide her on how to put others before self, what humility and pride were, and how to accept correction from others. It took patience, but they started to see a change. They knew they were blessed to have access to the Bible to guide them.

Please pray for small churches like this one: for continued reliance on God’s Word, and for unity in the body of Christ.

Prayer Request: Week of January 14, 2024

“Jesus has been my Living Hope during these times of trouble,” a new believer says, “but I need a Bible. I need to read and understand His words of strength and comfort every day.” In many countries, Bibles are in short supply, even in the church.

Please pray for these new believers, eager to receive their own copy of God’s Word. “Every morning when I wake up,” she says, “I thank God for a new day, and I ask Him for a Bible. His Word is my strength and my refuge.”

We are at a time and place in the year where we typically look back at the year that has been. What a joy and privilege and see what God has done, and know that He has preserved and continues to grow His kingdom work in the face of challenges! God knows what we need!
