A group of Christian leaders in Africa recently travelled to a refugee camp in South Sudan, far from our homes here in Canada. This camp is filled with people who have fled conflict in their hometowns, leaving everything behind as they flee from violence for the relative safety of an unfamiliar place. This group of leaders travelled to this camp to train and educate the new leaders of small church groups among the refugees. They brought a few Bibles with them, but they were shocked to discover that in their class of 30 participants, five confessed that they never had a Bible of their own, even though they had been believers for many years.
Please pray for church leaders struggling to disciple new believers without enough Bibles!
